We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated AWS Cloud Engagement Leader to join EPAM's growing AWS Business Practice, supporting our North America East region. In this role, you will own the AWS business within our East geographic organization — spanning Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and other sub-LOBs — partnering closely with EPAM leadership, our delivery organization, AWS stakeholders, and clients across a diverse set of industries to drive cloud-enabled transformation.
As a Cloud Engagement Leader, you will combine consultative business development with hands-on cloud and infrastructure expertise. You will guide clients through AWS migration and modernization journeys, build strong relationships with delivery managers and executives across the region, and champion best practices across co-sell, co-delivery, and cloud engagement methodologies.
This is a multi-dimensional, player-coach role — spanning solutioning, pre-sales, delivery, and client engagement — that requires an all-round, high-energy, entrepreneurial professional who is comfortable navigating ambiguity.
Responsibilities
Own and grow the AWS business across the East region, working closely with regional delivery managers and the East organization (Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and related sub-LOBs)
Engage directly with clients and internal stakeholders across a broad range of industries — including retail, manufacturing, logistics, telecom, high tech, and utilities — to identify and shape cloud opportunities
Lead end-to-end engagement activities: solutioning, pre-sales support, deal shaping, and delivery oversight for AWS cloud migration, modernization, and platform engineering initiatives
Build and accelerate strategic relationships with AWS, cultivating alignment with key AWS stakeholders and co-sell/co-delivery programs
Identify, develop, and close cloud transformation opportunities, driving growth across the portfolio
Serve as the regional AWS technical and business point of contact, contributing as Engagement Manager, Lead Consultant, Architect, or Delivery Leader depending on account needs
Act as a player-coach on AWS deal development, supporting and orchestrating pursuits across the East region
Mentor and enable delivery managers and account teams on cloud business best practices
Maintain billable utilization in the 50–65% range while balancing business development responsibilities
Stay current on AWS platform capabilities, cloud migration/modernization trends, FinOps, and emerging AI-driven delivery models
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Experience as a systems engineer, network engineer, or cloud/platform engineer, with progression into a more senior, consultative role (this is not an entry-level or early-career position)
Hands-on AWS infrastructure and platform engineering experience — cloud migration, modernization, and platform engineering programs; application development experience is a plus but not required
Familiarity with the AWS organizational structure and funding/co-sell programs; existing AWS relationships are a plus
Direct experience with cloud migration, modernization, and FinOps initiatives
General awareness of and interest in AI-driven trends and tooling, with relevant certifications or self-driven learning a plus
AWS certifications strongly preferred
Consultative sales orientation — comfortable engaging directly with clients, internal stakeholders, and business development teams; experience with solutioning and pre-sales is a plus
Industry exposure in one or more of: retail, manufacturing, logistics, telecom, high tech, or utilities preferred; deep domain specialization is not required
Strong executive communication and relationship building skills
Comfortable operating in ambiguous, non-cookie-cutter situations — a high-energy, go-getter mindset that can build its own path across sell-and-deliver cycles
Based in the East Coast, ideally within the Boston-to-Philadelphia corridor
Ability to travel as needed within the region
