Position Summary

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and security of the Banks cloud infrastructure. This role ensures
high availability, scalability, security, and regulatory compliance inaccordance with international banking standards and best practices.

This position plays a critical role in supporting business continuity, safeguarding sensitive financial data, and optimizing cloud infrastructure performance and cost efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure architectures (IaaS / PaaS).
  • Administer cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud.
  • Implement and manage security controls including encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and network security.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable financial and data protection regulations (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements).
  • Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies.
  • Automate infrastructure deployment and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).
  • Collaborate closely with Cybersecurity, Development, Compliance, and Audit teams.
  • Respond to and manage critical incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions.
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization and manage cost controls.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits related to infrastructure, security, and compliance.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • 35 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering.
  • Experience in regulated or mission-critical environments (banking, financial services, fintech, insurance preferred).
  • Proven experience managing high-availability production environments.
  • English and Spanish (required).
