About the Role We are seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer II to join our team and take ownership of advanced operational support, automation, and optimization across cloud services. This role is designed for an experienced engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments, can resolve complex issues independently, and is ready to drive operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Provide advanced operational support for cloud-hosted services, ensuring high availability and performance. Develop and maintain automation frameworks to streamline deployments, monitoring, and incident response. Author and update runbooks and operational documentation to standardize processes and improve reliability. Build and manage dashboards and alerting systems to monitor utilization, performance, and health of distributed services. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to design scalable, resilient cloud solutions. Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex incidents, applying root cause analysis and long-term remediation. Necessary Skills Strong background in monitoring, tracing, and profiling distributed systems. Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or C#. Familiarity with containerization and deployment standards (e.g., Docker, Octopus Deploy, semantic versioning). Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (Azure preferred), including PaaS services for compute, messaging, and data storage. Experience with observability tools such as Azure Application Insights or Datadog. Knowledge of lightweight container images (e.g., Alpine, distroless) and multi-version .NET deployments. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for build, release, and automation tasks. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience. 2+ years of experience in cloud operations or site reliability engineering. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across teams. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Per applicable state requirements, the annual pay range for this position ($85,500 - $117,000) which consists of base salary (subject to performance), reflects the hiring range for candidates. Also note, an individual’s offer may vary from this range as it may be impacted by additional factors, including but not limited to the candidate's hiring location, qualifications, experience, and market factors.
