Job Description
Description:

About Logos:

Logos is a purpose-driven tech company dedicated to building technology solutions that equip the Church to grow in the light of the Bible. Our team is committed to increasing biblical literacy and accessibility for every Christian around the world. We do so by delivering value along three fronts: software tools, community collaboration, and rich digital content. Logos’ solutions portfolio connects users to the Word and to their communities. Based in Bellingham, Washington, Logos also has operations in Chandler, Arizona and Puebla, Mexico.

About The Role:

Cloud Operations Engineers are the frontline guardians of our production infrastructure. You will monitor, maintain, and support the systems that serve both our customers and our internal development teams. You don’t have to know everything about our entire stack, but you must be able to learn quickly, follow procedures, and apply sound judgment to resolve issues.

This role will require participating in 24/7 on-call rotation and responding to alerts and incidents in a timely fashion while on call.

NOTE: This is a hybrid position (3 days in the office) and the applicant must be able to work from our Mexico City offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond and triage all production alerts as the primary on-call responder, acting as the first line of defense for the entire system
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues using established runbooks and documentation, escalating to senior SREs and/or development teams with context when necessary
  • Execute incident management procedures, including opening communication channels, documenting timelines, and ensuring runbooks are followed
  • Proactively monitor system health and performance using observability dashboards and tooling to identify potential issues before they escalate
  • Track consumption against service quotas and usage-based limits for production systems (or their underlying platform components) to prevent service disruptions and cost overruns
  • Maintain and improve operational documentation and monitoring dashboards to ensure they are accurate and effective
  • Perform routine maintenance and operational tasks, such as system patching, security updates, and infrastructure provisioning using predefined IaC modules
  • Manage user access for developer tooling following standard operating procedures, e.g. handling onboarding and offboarding requests through a ticket-based workflow

Requirements:

  • Ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation as a primary responder
  • Experience responding to and triaging production alerts in a cloud environment
  • Ability to follow technical runbooks and standard operating procedures with high attention to detail
  • Ability to update and maintain runbooks and SOPs in clear and concise English
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide clear context when escalating to other teams
  • Functional understanding of cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, and security groups (Azure experience preferred)
  • Experience using monitoring and observability tools like Datadog, Azure Monitor, or Grafana
  • Strong written communication skills for documenting incident timelines and updating procedures

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience using infrastructure as code tools like Terraform to provision resources
  • Experience with configuration management tools and automated patching
  • Familiarity with managing user access and permissions within cloud platforms or developer tools
  • Experience with basic scripting in Bash, PowerShell, or Python to automate routine tasks
  • Previous experience in a dedicated operations, NOC, or service desk environment

Benefits:

  • Competitive family medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • 3 company-paid holidays per year in addition to regular holidays
  • 4 days of paid time off (PTO) per year
  • Paid time off (PTO) on your birthday
  • Law benefits (15-day Christmas bonus, vacation days established by law, 25% vacation bonus)
  • Awards and recognition program
