Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Terraform, PowerShell, and GitHub pipelines, with familiarity in Azure Cloud, specifically Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365. Additionally, experience in Omnissa Horizon infrastructure and proficiency in managing virtual environments are key to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Architecture: Develop and implement Virtual Endpoint (VE) solutions to meet organizational requirements.
- Deployment and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain Omnissa Horizon infrastructure and Cloud Virtual Endpoint environments within the Azure Cloud.
- Management: Oversee and manage desktop pools, application pools, and instant clones within the cloud VDI environment.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Ensure the health, performance, and availability of virtual environments through regular updates, patches, and monitoring.
- Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to resolve issues related to connectivity, performance, and compatibility for end-users within virtual environments.
- Automation: Automate image build processes, create Disaster Recovery (DR) environments in disparate regions, and streamline the DR flip process. Identify opportunities for further cloud process automation.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Reporting: Generate reports on VE performance, usage, and capacity planning.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless delivery of virtual desktops and applications.
- Disaster Recovery: Manage disaster recovery and backup strategies for cloud-based systems, ensuring business continuity.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency with Terraform, PowerShell, and GitHub Pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, specifically with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365.
- Strong expertise in Omnissa Horizon infrastructure.
- Experience in managing and troubleshooting virtual endpoint environments.
- Familiarity with security best practices in virtual environments.
