CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Apply
Female CNA required to assist disabled woman. 410-290-0283 (calls accepted 8:30AM-8:00PM, cannot receive texts), bethssunset@gmail.com, $27 per hour. MUST LOVE DOGS!! (35-50 lb golden doodle)
Shifts:
- weekday mornings (6:30AM-8:30AM) CRITICAL NEED
- weekday evenings (10:00PM-12:00AM) PRN
- Saturday and Sunday morning (6:30AM-8:30AM) and evening (10:00PM-12:00AM) PRN
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience, preferable combined hospital and private duty.
- Must have body strength and know body mechanics to be able to work with disabled persons having very limited mobility, operate power wheelchair. TOTAL CARE.
- Experienced using Hoyer lift with harness safely for transfers.
- Have your own private vehicle, able to work in bad weather. Reliability / consistency are critical.
- Must be of excellent moral character and easy going. Roll with the punches! This work must be your passion.
Morning duties:
- Take dog out of crate. Attach dog to lead in back yard for exercise. Clean up waste if necessary. Bring back inside after 30 or so minutes. Can be left free or put back in crate, dependent on caregiver comfort level. May need to fill dog water.
- Bathroom and shower assistance with Hoyer.
- Dressing.
- Transfer to chair with Hoyer.
- Laundry, including folding and putting away.
- Assist with dishes and run dishwasher as needed.
- Prepare light breakfast.
Evening duties:
- If needed, take dog out for bathroom. Clean up waste if necessary.
- Monday evenings: Take out trash cans from back porch to designated spot out front for trash removal.
- Tuesday evenings: Return trash can to back porch.
- Assist with dressing/undressing.
- Transfer to bed using Hoyer.
- Bathroom assistance with soap and water cleanup.
- Laundry, including folding and putting away.
- Getting clothes prepared for next day.
- Friday evenings: change and wash bedsheets.
- Light housekeeping if necessary (sweep floor, load dishwasher, etc).
- Meal preparation: Will discuss for separate, smaller job.
Compensation $27 per hour. Paid biweekly.
