Job Description
Role: CNA.
Location: New Mexico.
Job Type: 6-13 Week Contract/Per Diem.
Shift Availability: Morning, Evening & Night.
Tax Term: W2
Pay Rate: As per market Standard.
Job Description.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Measure and record patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Mobility Assistance: Assist patients with walking, transferring, and repositioning to prevent bedsores and promote comfort.
- Patient Support: Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient information, including their condition and changes, using electronic medical records.
- Safety and Hygiene: Ensure the cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and common areas, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the nursing team to ensure care plans are followed and communicate any changes in patient conditions.
- Assistance with Procedures: Help the healthcare team with medical procedures as directed by RNs or physicians.
Qualifications:
- Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania.
- Experience in providing personal care to patients in a healthcare setting preferred (long-term care, rehab, or hospital setting).
- Ability to assist patients with mobility and lifting as required.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification (if required).
- Ability to work as part of a healthcare team, demonstrating empathy and patience.
- Adhere to all healthcare facility safety and hygiene protocols.
