Job Description.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Vital Signs Monitoring: Measure and record patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Mobility Assistance: Assist patients with walking, transferring, and repositioning to prevent bedsores and promote comfort.
• Patient Support: Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
• Documentation: Accurately document patient information, including their condition and changes, using electronic medical records.
• Safety and Hygiene: Ensure the cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and common areas, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the nursing team to ensure care plans are followed and communicate any changes in patient conditions.
• Assistance with Procedures: Help the healthcare team with medical procedures as directed by RNs or physicians.

Qualifications:

• Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania.
• Experience in providing personal care to patients in a healthcare setting preferred (long-term care, rehab, or hospital setting).
• Ability to assist patients with mobility and lifting as required.
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification (if required).
• Ability to work as part of a healthcare team, demonstrating empathy and patience.
• Adhere to all healthcare facility safety and hygiene protocols.
