CNA - Medical Group Home 2-10pm Apply
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the children and young adults with daily living and encouraging their independence. CNAs work with the supervisor, therapists, nursing staff, and families in program development and implementation. Examples include assisting the children and young adults with personal cares, preparing meals, caring for household, community exposure/ involvement, and other life skills areas.
Schedule
Week 1: Monday- Friday 2pm-10pm
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday 2pm-10pm
Benefits and Compensation
Wage: $16.88-$21.02 based on experience, plus shift differentials ($1/hr 2-6pm $3.50/hr 6-10pm)
This role is full-time and eligible for health benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, and a 403B retirement account. PTO is frontloaded upon hire and starts accruing immediately.

What You'll Do
- Assist the children or young adults in becoming as independent as possible in personal cares, preparing meals, caring for household, and other life skills areas.
- Assist with transportation as needed
- Assists the children or young adults with treatments as appropriate and is knowledgeable of medications and times they are to be given
- Assists with community involvement such as community recreational events, shopping trips, volunteer opportunities and more.
What You'll Need
- Experience: Previous work with children or adults with disabilities preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
- Must be willing/able to become an approved driver for ChildServe
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Iowa. Med Aide or Medication Manager certifications a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
- This position is subject to COVID vaccination or exemption requirements. This will be discussed in your phone interview.
