CNC Lathe Programmer – ST-28 Turning Center

We’re looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer to take ownership of programming and running our ST-28 Series Turning Center. This is a hands-on role working on high-precision turning operations in a clean, climate-controlled shop with modern equipment.

You’ll collaborate closely with machinists and engineers to ensure parts are accurate, efficient, and consistent, while helping improve processes and toolpath strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Program and maintain CNC lathe jobs using Fusion 360 or Mastercam
• Set up and run jobs on the ST-28 Series Turning Center
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, and 3D models to generate accurate toolpaths
• Select tooling, speeds, feeds, and cutting strategies for a variety of materials
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to produce high-quality, efficient parts
• Support setups and first-article inspections
• Optimize programs to improve cycle times, surface finish, and tool life
• Troubleshoot machining, setup, and programming challenges
• Keep program files, setup sheets, and process documentation organized
• Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of machining experience
• Proven experience programming CNC lathes / turning centers
• Proficiency in Fusion 360 or Mastercam
• Strong understanding of G-code and CNC turning fundamentals
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with GD&T and tight tolerances
• Hands-on experience with lathe setup and troubleshooting
