Overview Northern Gear & Machining is seeking an experienced CNC Operator/Machinist on 2nd Shift to collaborate with a team dedicated to the success of our customers. There is a $2 per hour shift premium for 2nd shift! Responsibilities Operating Vertical and Horizontal CNC Mills OR Lathes. Working with Engineering & other Team Members. Working from a blueprint or drawing with specifications. Using a variety of precision measuring devices. Adhering to Quality Assurance requirements including first-piece inspections and recording of measurement data. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Familiar with ISO standards and follow all standards and procedures. Striving for continuous improvement. Be able to work in a cell structure operating 2-3 machines at a time. Qualifications Be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. A positive attitude. Achieve, maintain, and establish productivity and quality requirements. Zero defect quality mentality. 2+ years of CNC machining experience (preferred but not required); We will train!
