A CNC Machine Operator sets up, operates and monitors computer-controlled machines to produce parts from raw materials. Working hours are 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM onsite in Galesburg, IL. Duties and Responsibilities Set up and run the CNC machines, load and unload raw materials and oversee the machines while they are running. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and tolerance, using micrometers and height gauges. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and CAD design. Calibrate and set up machines, including tool registers, compensation, and conditional switches. Perform maintenance, cleaning, and minor adjustments on equipment. Troubleshoot and identify problems during production runs. Maintain logs on production, machine actions, and quality checks. Job Requirements At least two years of experience with CNC machines, tools, and equipment. Knowledge to ensure high quality parts and tight tolerances. Interpret technical drawings on blueprints. Proficient with measurements and calculations. Stand for long periods and lift heavy materials.
