Job Summary The Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating both conventional and CNC machines to produce metal and non-metal parts according to specifications. Key Responsibilities Review blueprints, sketches, and manuals to understand part specifications and machining steps. Measure and mark materials to prepare for machining. Set up machines with the correct tools, fixtures, and materials. Adjust machine settings like speed, feed, and depth of cut. Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to ensure quality. Inspect finished parts to confirm they meet specifications. Perform test runs to ensure machine settings are correct. Replace and install parts in machines or equipment, then test for proper function. Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and production staff to solve issues. Follow all quality standards related to KMT Waterjet's QMS and ISO requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned.
