Position Introduction/Key Duties Cimarron is seeking a CNC Machinist to support our partnership with a commercial aerospace company at their rocket production facility in Briggs, TX. Through this partnership, Cimarron supplies skilled technical talent in support of our customer's advanced launch and space systems. This customer designs and builds small- to medium-lift launch vehicles, lunar landers, and orbital vehicles for government and commercial missions from low Earth orbit to the Moon and beyond. Together, our teams leverage advanced carbon composite structures, patented propulsion technologies, and common components across platforms to move fast, improve reliability, and deliver payloads at a lower cost. Key Duties Machine high-quality parts in accordance with engineering and production requirements. Read and follow technical drawings and diagrammed work instructions. Inspect, measure, and document manufactured parts to ensure quality and compliance. Perform machine setups required for part manufacturing. Make program or offset edits as needed to maintain part quality. Follow all safety standards and procedures at all times. Immediately report any safety, quality, or maintenance concerns to management. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Hold oneself to a high standard of workmanship and take pride in producing quality parts. Required/Desired Skills, Experience, And Education Required Skills, Experience, and Education Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible for consideration at this time. 5 or more years of experience operating 5-axis CNC routers, mills, or similar machine tools. Experience operating B-Axis CNC lathes, including proficiency in multi-axis simultaneous machining, live tooling, and complex part programming using B-axis head manipulation for angled and compound cuts. Experience with composite machining. Strong problem‑solving abilities. A strong desire to excel in a high‑pressure environment with minimal guidance. High School diploma or equivalent. Desired Skills, Experience, And Education 3 or more years of experience cutting, routing, and trimming carbon fiber composite materials in aerospace applications. Experience with 7‑axis CNC equipment. Experience selecting tools and fixtures for cutting composite materials.
