CNC Machinist As a CNC Machinist, you will manufacture detailed parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, drawings, or verbal instructions using various computer- or mechanically controlled machine tools and equipment. You will be responsible for setting up and operating mills, lathes, CNC machine tools, grinders, and other equipment using mathematical and geometrical calculations. Precision measuring instruments will be used to maintain tolerances, calculate dimensions, and ensure quality of the finished products. This role may involve complex machining operations for prototype experimental activities and assisting engineers in the design and development of new products. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling and turning centers according to complex blueprints and specifications. Retrieve job-related information such as job routings, part drawings, tool lists, and work instructions. Select and utilize appropriate cutting tools and work holding for various materials and machining processes. Document manufactured quantities and all required processes utilizing the ERP system. Perform precise measurements and inspections to ensure parts meet stringent quality control standards. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize machining efficiency. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Assist with developing new machining methods and tooling for complex parts. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills 5+ years of relevant experience High school degree or equivalent, plus advanced training ITAR compliance Excellent attention to detail Working knowledge of customer specifications and requirements Basic computer skills Problem-solving abilities Ability to use calipers, micrometers, etc. Mastery of basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions Strong teamwork and communication skills Understanding and adherence to safety requirements Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with machine setup and operation Proficiency with CNC programming and editing Experience with CMM operation, vertical and horizontal milling Blueprint reading G code knowledge Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs Specific vision abilities including close and distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Capability of standing for long periods Why Work Here? Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
