ESP Valve is looking for a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer for our Control Valve shop in Gonzales, LA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, machining, and precision measurement. We have a new CNC 4 axis mill and CNC lathe with live tooling. This role involves, helping to set up the CNC shop, programming, operating CNC machines, interpreting blueprints, and reverse engineering parts. The CNC Machinist will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, contributing to the efficiency and accuracy of our operations.

All work is done in a new air-conditioned shop in Gonzales. This is a full-time position, with plenty of overtime. And we offer full benefits. We are a family-owned company with over 38 years in business.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathe and milling machines to produce precision parts according to specifications.
• Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
• Conduct regular maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.
• Collaborate with team members in a lean manufacturing environment to improve processes and reduce waste.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while strictly adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of CNC 4-axis machining with a strong understanding of machining processes.
• Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines and lathes.
• Knowledge of tooling requirements for various machining tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $40-45 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
