CNC Machinist/Programmer Pay based on experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to read process sheets and blueprints of job to determine machining operations, dimensional specifications, set up, and first part verification process.
- Programming machine to cut specific parts and runs.
- Efficient use of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gage, etc.)
- Mounting, installing, aligning, and securing tools, attachments, fixtures, and work-pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
- Calculating machine speed and feed ratios and the size and position of cuts
- Inspects first run piece and spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specification using operation certification knowledge
- Experience in how to evaluate, diagnoses, troubleshoot systems and perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment
- Fundamental knowledge of metal cutting and machining practices
- Works with team to increase quality and productivity of CNC processes
- Any other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Mill machining experience
- Live tooling experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly.
- Excellent mathematical and computer skills.
- Fanuc and Mastercam experience is a plus
