Job Description

Join a leading manufacturer of stainless steel food processing equipment located in Whitewater, WI. This facility is a hub for design, R&D, manufacturing, production, and maintenance. As a CNC Machinist, you will set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, primarily focusing on lathes. You will work with both new and older machines, including Doosan, Haas, and some older mills and grinders, with Fanuc controls on the new machines. This role involves quality inspections using micrometers and calipers, and requires multiple set-ups and tooling changes. You will also need to edit programs at the machine when necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, focusing primarily on lathes.
  • Conduct quality inspections using micrometers and calipers.
  • Perform multiple set-ups and tooling changes.
  • Edit programs at the machine when needed.
  • Work with a variety of parts in low volume production.
Essential Skills
  • 5 years of experience setting up and running CNC mills and lathes.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading.
  • Experience with lathe and mill operations.
  • Skilled in using calipers and micrometers for inspection.
  • 2 years of experience in G&M code editing at the machine.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with new CNC machines, specifically Doosan and Haas.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controls.

Work Environment, Shift, and Pay

Some optional overtime is available on Fridays. The shop is undergoing renovations to improve the breakroom, office space, and shop floor, fostering a progressive and modern work setting.
