A precision machining manufacturer is growing its CNC team and is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist for a hands-on production role machining complex, tight-tolerance components. This opportunity is ideal for a machinist who enjoys setup work, problem-solving, and producing precision parts on advanced CNC milling equipment in a quality-focused manufacturing environment. This position supports precision manufacturing operations using CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers, multi-axis mills, and high-performance milling equipment. The team is looking for machinists who can perform independent setups, troubleshoot machining issues, and consistently produce high-quality parts. This position is located in Lake Mills, WI. CNC Mill Machinist Benefits and Compensation: $24–$39/hour depending on experience Additional $2/hour shift differential 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM Four 10-hour shifts Medical, dental, and vision insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) options Paid holidays and PTO CNC Mill Machinist Requirements & Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience Strong CNC mill setup and troubleshooting experience Experience with vertical machining centers (VMC), horizontal machining centers (HMC), or multi-axis milling equipment Ability to perform setup adjustments, offsets, and prove-outs independently Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills Experience working with precision tolerances and inspection equipment Understanding of cutting tools, workholding, speeds, and feeds Ability to identify and correct machining or quality issues during production Valid driver's license required Must Haves: Complete machine setups and production changeovers Make tooling, offset, and work coordinate adjustments Read and edit machine programs as needed Verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment Monitor machine performance and machining consistency Complete production and quality documentation accurately Maintain organized work areas and support shop safety standards Assist with preventative maintenance and tooling upkeep CNC Mill Machinist Preferred Background & Skills: Precision machining experience in an ISO 9100 environment Familiarity with ERP systems such as JobBOSS or Epicor Exposure to Mastercam or Esprit environments Ability to operate multiple machining centers effectively Continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing mindset Experience assisting with training or mentoring machinists Bring your CNC milling expertise to a manufacturer where your skills matter.
