JOB DESCRIPTION:

One of my best clients, a family-owned, 50+ year, stable, recession-durable manufacturer of large metal components, is looking for a CNC Process Engineer for high volume automotive applications. They are a Ford Q1 quality status supplier. They are also 2018 IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001. They are constantly testing new technology and tooling, taking pride in their ingenuity in work holding, cutting tool applications and process development. Their ops are state-of-the-art.

They are looking for a CNC Process Engineer who will be on the floor willing to program fixturing, get it all up and running. They need someone who is operationally engaged, experience with casting and CNC GNM codes. Automotive industry a plus. Leadership experience a plus. Fanuc controllers.

The qualified CNC Process Engineer will have expertise in electronics, materials, methods and tools and will make repairs, adjustments, installations and maintenance of CNC Machining Centers, Manual Mills, Manual Lathes, Gear Machines and other industrial equipment.

Qualifications of the CNC Process Engineer:
  • 2 or 4 year degree of comparable experience/training
  • 5+ years' experience with CNC machining in a metal casting environment
  • Strong electronics background and previous experience troubleshooting with a broad range of CNC machines, mills, lathes, manual mills, drill presses, jig bores, sanders, grinder and similar
  • Interpret blueprints, specs and job orders
  • Some supervisory experience and quality competence.
  • Competency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PLK, CAD/Cam, MS Project, CNC machine components.
