CNC Programmer - Milling Apply
Job Description
Job Position Summary: CNC Programmer is responsible to create computer numerically controlled (CNC) programs to be used for automating machinists’ tools by using computer generated electronic data.
\nMinimum Requirements:
\n- \n
- High school diploma or GED required. \n
- Associate degree or higher in related field preferred \n
- Experience with CNC Mill multi-axis programming. \n
- CAD/CAM experience NX preferred. \n
- Processing Engineer experience preferred. \n
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office \n
- Understanding of CNC machining techniques, and materials. \n
- Ability to interpret blueprints and knowledge of GD&T \n
- Ability to choose and/or design correct tooling and apply speeds and feeds based on process and materials. \n
- Working knowledge in the Aerospace Manufacturing industry to include Aerospace standards and specifications. \n
- Working knowledge of manufacturing outsource processes i.e. Plating, Surface treatments and Heat Treat. \n
- Advance Analytical skills to gather, process and interpret data to solve problems and make decisions. \n
- Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally. \n
- Strong attention to details \n
- Time Management and Organizational skills. \n
- Excellent Interpersonal and customer service skills. \n
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service \n
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. \n
Duties/Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Ensure adherence to safety regulation and standard. Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required. \n
- Select tooling and tool path in software to create program operations. \n
- Check completed programs using Veircut software. \n
- Create Tooling and Setup Sheets. \n
- Analyze and solve tool and program related issues on floor. \n
- Review and Modify existing Programs/Processes and Setup times for Continuous Improvement. \n
- Follow 6s Procedures and maintains a clean organized work area. \n
- Performs other duties as assigned. \n
Working Conditions:
\n- \n
- Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts. \n
- May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities. \n
Physical Requirements:

- Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses. \n
- May have to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as required. \n
- Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time. \n
