Cnc Programmer

CNC Programmer Creates and optimizes CNC programs for 3axis milling machines in a highprecision manufacturing environment. Combines CAD/CAM programming, machine setup, and handson support to ensure efficient, highquality production. Key Responsibilities Develop CNC programs from engineering drawings and 3D models Set up and operate CNC milling machines (Fanuc/Haas preferred) Optimize setups to improve efficiency and reduce scrap Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams on production requirements Maintain program library and tooling/fixture needs Support operators with setup, firstarticle inspections, and troubleshooting Perform dimensional checks using measuring tools Follow SOPs, maintain equipment, and complete inspection reports Key Requirements 2+ years of CNC programming or machining experience Proficiency in CAD/CAM (Autodesk Inventor preferred) Strong understanding of G-code, CNC milling, and machining processes Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T Experience with machine setup, operation, and measurement tools Strong attention to detail and communication skills Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake in the Hills, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
