Position Summary:

We are seeking a CNC Programmer to join our Engineering Team. This position plays a key role in transforming custom designs and drawings into precise, efficient programs that drive our manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. This role will program for turret punches, lasers, and other sheet metal machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Convert DXF drawings into CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for various machines in our production line.
  • Must be able to efficiently create and optimize sheet-metal part nesting.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure accuracy and completeness of DXF files.
  • Work with operators to ensure smooth operation of programs and resolve any programming-related issues.
  • Liaise with production and engineering teams to maintain order timelines and ensure programs meet client specifications.
  • Optimize material usage by setting up programs with the correct parameters for each machine—minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (such as Optimation, AutoCAD, or similar)
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Technical degree in engineering, drafting, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
