Responsibilities
Operate & program our Haas CNC, manual machine tools such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses to produce parts according to detailed specifications.
Set up and calibrate CNC machines including CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring optimal performance with Fanuc controls.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications, and CAD models to accurately produce components.
Program CNC equipment using CAM software; troubleshoot programming issues to maintain production flow.
Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and dial indicators to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, inspections, and quality checks for traceability.
Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery; replace tooling as needed to ensure safety and efficiency.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on tooling design, assembly processes, and process improvements.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools for assembly or modifications when necessary.
Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying waste reduction opportunities and optimizing workflows.
Assist with plastics injection molding setups or repairs if required; operate forklifts for material handling within the shop floor.
Experience 1+ years of CNC operation & programing experience AND;
Must possess demonstrated analytical capability; ability to work independently; excellent written and oral communication; ability to use machining equipment and hand tools; and blueprint reading, proficient computer skills, specifically in Microsoft office applications, Excel intermediate experience a plus.
