KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, JOB DUTIES and COMPETENCIES: Provide support to Production ensuring consistent application of quality techniques & related issues Has the authority to stop shipments and stop production to correct quality issues Communicate Quality Issues for forging and machining Support the development of Quality Documentation to meet customer and IATF requirements including development of process documentation (Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plan, Gaging Sheets, and forms) Complete and maintain Q-Pulse workload Setup, Interpret, and apply SPC in Ignition SPC and MeasurLink Quote and Purchase quality items Participate in the use of appropriate problem solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action. Perform training activities Perform data collection for MSA Studies (Gage R&R, Bias / Linearity / Stability) and other data collection as required Troubleshoot and perform CMM / Trace Machine inspections Perform required inspections such as Induction Hardening Inspection, Final Inspection, and Sort Backs Setup and troubleshoot Autogages / NDE Perform 1 st Piece machine approvals and build hard gages as required Support for Continual Improvement of Quality related items Responsible for NCMR Reporting and containment of suspect product QUALIFICATION and EDUCATION Ability to read and interpret blue prints Ability to use standard measuring equipment Must possess a high degree of mechanical aptitude Understanding of Forging, Machining Processes Must possess and demonstrate a high degree of reliability Must be able to attend training and further education as needed Must have experience in the quality field, automotive quality is preferred SCOPE of AUTHORITY No direct reports and no budgetary responsibility Stop shipments and stop production to correct quality problems Meadville Forging offers excellent benefits including Competitive Wages, 2 nd and 3 rd shift premiums Health, Vision and Dental Insurance 401K with company match program 13 paid holidays Employee Profit SharingPaid Vacation Life Insurance Much more…..
