We are seeking a skilled CNC Set-Up Machinist to join our dynamic team in Wheeling, Illinois. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in precision machining and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate CNC machines according to production requirements.
• Interpret technical drawings & blueprints to program CNC machinery accurately.
• Perform initial test runs, analyze output, and adjust settings to meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with the production team to implement solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of machine setups, run times, and adjustments.
• Ensure safety & organization by following company protocols and maintaining a clean workspace.
• Train and mentor junior machinists and apprentices as needed.
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in CNC setup and operation.
• 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code) and CAD/CAM software.
• Experience with Tsugami CNC machines is a plus.
• Familiarity with Esprit software is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
• Problem-solving skills & attention to detail to ensure high-quality production.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• US Citizenship required.
• Understanding of quality control processes and ISO standards is a plus.
