Key Responsibilities
- Program and set up CNC Swiss lathes and CNC lathes (2-4 axis and 5+ axis) for production.
- Use CAD/CAM software (Solidworks, Mastercam) to create and adjust programs as needed.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to boost efficiency and minimize waste.
- Troubleshoot CNC machines and mechanical systems, addressing issues promptly and effectively.
- Perform root cause analysis to uncover and resolve production challenges.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precise machining.
- Collaborate with team members to drive continuous improvement across all operations.
- Maintain and manage CNC tooling and machinery to ensure maximum performance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve production targets and goals.
- Provide mentoring and support to junior staff in CNC programming and machining techniques.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Swiss Programmer or Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
- Proficient in G-Code and M-Code programming.
- Experience with machine brands such as DMG Mori Seiki, Star, Tornos, and Miyano.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software like Solidworks and Mastercam.
- Excellent mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong manual machining skills with a solid understanding of CNC tooling.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to work with different software applications.
- Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written).
