The CNC Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining the CNC equipment to its optimum efficiency.ResponsibilitiesInspect quality of material entering the department and quality of parts being producedCooperate with other members of the CNC Manufacturing Department to improve quality and boost productivityMake sure all setup and programming information is correct and promptly inform Programmers of any correctionsPerform duties assigned by the CNC Supervisor promptly and efficientlyMaintains clean, neat work area to minimize accident and injury exposureConform to all part drawing tolerances, document first-piece inspection on print, and maintain cross checks as instructed. Keeps supervisor informed regarding operations of the department and any problems that ariseQualificationsHigh School DiplomaExperience operating or programming CNC machine tools preferred but not requiredAdditional RequirementsTechnical Skills: Good basic knowledge of the standard practice, methods, materials, precision tools, shop math, trigonometry, CNC programming, personal computer operations, fixtures, and cutting tools used in a computerized manufacturing environment.Team Player: Reaches out to peers to tear down walls.
