Job Description

Schaeffler Group -- Co-Op Cross functional projects 2026
Schaeffler is a dynamic global technology company and its success has been a result of its
entrepreneurial spirit and long history of private ownership. As a partner to all of the major automobile manufacturers, as well as key players in the aerospace and industrial sectors, we offer you many development opportunities.

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven intern (sophomore or junior) with a current degree plan of engineering, business/finance or organization leadership to work on semester rotations or part time (preferred) basis.

In this role, you will be executing cross-functional projects tailored to your specific degree plan and academic background with the first project being an analysis of our local organizational structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Audit: Execute a thorough discovery process to gather personnel data, departmental functions, and reporting relationships across the site.
  • Stakeholder Interviews: Conduct structured interviews with department heads to verify workflows and identify "shadow" structures not reflected in existing charts.
  • Structural Mapping: Translate raw data into visual organizational charts and functional maps using Microsoft suite tools.
  • Gap Analysis: Identify redundancies, spans of control issues, or communication silos discovered during the data collection phase.
  • Reporting: Compile findings into a final report or presentation for leadership, providing a "current state" baseline for future strategic planning.
Qualifications

  • Education: Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, business/finance or organization leadership or a related field.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for interviewing diverse staff members and presenting technical data clearly.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, finance or engineering
As a global company with employees around the world, it is important to us that we treat each other with respect and value all ideas and perspectives. By appreciating our differences, we inspire creativity and drive innovation. In this way, we contribute to sustainable value creation for our stakeholders and society as a whole. Together, we advance how the world moves.

Exciting assignments and outstanding development opportunities await you because we impact the future with innovation. We look forward to your application.
