Minimum Training & Experience


Possession of a high school diploma or an equivalent recognized certificate and four years of skilled craft or technical experience in the building or housing construction industry, engineering, code enforcement, or building or housing inspection area

Necessary Special Requirements


Within one year of employment, must complete Level One of the Florida Association of Code Enforcement's (FACE) training program as a condition of continued employment. Must complete continuing education requirements to maintain FACE certification as a condition of continued employment.

Salary Range


$19.9955 to $54.2594/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $33.2270/hour

Driver's License Requirements


Must possess a valid Class-E State driver's license at the time of appointment.

Certain service members and veterans, and the spouses of the service members and veterans, will receive preference and priority, and certain service members may be eligible to receive waivers for postsecondary educational requirements, in employment and are encouraged to apply for the positions being filled.
