Summary:
We are currently hiring experienced Cold Header Machine Operators for full-time, direct-hire roles in the automotive manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have prior machine operating experience and a strong understanding of cold heading or metal forming processes. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate cold header or forging machines per production specifications

• Read work orders and blueprints to determine tolerances and sequence of operations

• Position and feed metal wire or workpieces through dies to form parts

• Measure and inspect finished components for accuracy and quality

• Perform hot or cold forging tasks such as flattening, straightening, bending, or piercing

• Adjust machine settings including pressure, ram depth, and timing

• Install and remove dies, hammers, cams, and guides using hand tools or hoists

• Monitor machines for proper operation; troubleshoot malfunctions

• Trim and finish forged components to meet final specifications

• Follow all safety protocols and maintain clean work areas

• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or factory manager

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least 2 years of experience as a machine operator (preferably in cold heading or forging)

• Able to use micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable reading technical diagrams, blueprints, and instructions

Math & Reasoning Skills:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals

• Able to follow verbal, written, and diagram instructions accurately

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

• Regular stooping, bending, and reaching as needed

Work Environment:

• Industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to metalworking fluids and machinery

• PPE (personal protective equipment) required and provided
