Collections ManagerThe Collections Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the company's collections function to ensure timely and accurate cash flow while maintaining strong customer relationships. Oversee all collections activities, including customer billing follow up, payment tracking, dispute resolution, and escalations. Ensure timely collection of receivables while maintaining positive customer relationships and professionalism.Lien Rights & Compliance Manage and oversee lien rights processes, including notices, filings, and deadlines, ensuring compliance with applicable state and local regulations. Coordinate with legal counsel and internal stakeholders on lien enforcement when necessary. Maintain accurate documentation related to lien activity and collections efforts.Insurance Depreciation Recovery Oversee and support the filing and follow up of insurance depreciation claims. Coordinate with customers, insurance carriers, and internal teams to ensure depreciation is recovered accurately and promptly. Track depreciation receivables and identify bottlenecks or delays in recovery.Process Improvement & Reporting Identify inefficiencies in collections workflows and implement process improvements to increase effectiveness and scalability. Utilize advanced Excel skills to build and maintain reports, dashboards, aging analyses, and performance metrics. Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership on AR health, collection trends, and risk areas.Customer Service & Cross Functional Collaboration Maintain a strong customer service mindset, balancing firm collections practices with professionalism and empathy. Partner closely with sales, operations, accounting, and leadership to resolve issues impacting collections. Serve as a point of escalation for complex customer or insurance related disputes.Internal Controls, Compliance & Audit Support Ensure all collections, lien, and insurance receivables processes comply with established internal control standards, company policies, and documentation requirements. Maintain accurate, audit ready records for accounts receivable, lien filings, insurance payments, and depreciation recovery.Required Qualifications Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in collections, accounts receivable, or credit management. Proven experience managing and leading a collections team. Strong working knowledge of lien rights, notices, and compliance requirements. Demonstrated experience with insurance depreciation filing and recovery. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, reporting, and data analysis. Strong problem solving, organizational, and process improvement capabilities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive customer situations professionally.Preferred Qualifications Experience in the roofing, construction, or home services industry. Familiarity with construction billing, progress payments, or insurance based receivables.
