This position will play a key role in supporting critical combustion component work and driving engineering execution for high-performance turbine fuel systems.As a Combustion Engineer General Manager, you’ll lead a team of four (2 Technical Field Representatives, 1 Shop Manager, and 1 Project Manager), providing hands-on support and direction across engineering operations with a special focus on fuel nozzle systems (including components like F7EA Frame, F7B, and F7FA). This role is ideal for someone with a strong engineering foundation and emerging leadership experience, or a seasoned technical professional ready to transition into a broader management scope.Responsibilities:Act as the technical point of contact for engineering support related to combustion hardwareGuide and oversee daily activities of your team to ensure on-time delivery of projects and technical supportTroubleshoot product and performance issues in collaboration with operations and customersReview component designs and collaborate on improvements to manufacturing processesLead or support budget planning, project estimates, and cost assessmentsParticipate in customer discussions, ensuring engineering decisions align with project goals and operational needsQualificationsStrong background in mechanical or aerospace engineeringHands-on experience with combustion hardware and/or fuel nozzle systemsAbility to lead or mentor a small team across shop, project, and field functionsSolid problem-solving skills with attention to performance, safety, and complianceComfortable working onsite in Houston—local candidates preferredPrior experience in gas turbine engineeringCFD or thermal analysis experiencePrevious supervisory or team leadership responsibilityFamiliarity with OEM specifications and industry compliance standards
