Commercial Electrician Apply
Responsibilities:
-Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
-Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components to locate and correct breakdowns using test equipment and hand tools.
-Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
-Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repair to ensure compliance with codes.
-Test electrical systems and circuits using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety.
-Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
-Follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
-Utilize a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, and testing equipment.
-Connect power cables to equipment such as motors.
-Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
-Construct and fabricate parts using hand tools and specifications.
-Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches and moving heavy objects.
-Assist with other tasks within the company as necessary to adjust for workflow changes.
Education and Experience:
-High School Diploma or equivalent vocational training.
-Comparable training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
-Electrical: 4 years (Preferred)
Physical Requirements:
-Significant and repetitive standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling.
-Ability to lift 75 lbs. repeatedly.
-Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle.
-Ability to use various types of hand tools and power tools correctly.
Special Requirements:
-Possession of a valid driver's license.
-Must have or be willing to obtain some hand tools.
-Journeyman/Masters license preferred.
-Willingness to travel: 25% preferred.
