Job Summary:

We seek a Commercial Insurance Account Manager to support our clients with claims management, policy servicing, and client advocacy. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service, managing insurance documentation, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate and efficient process execution. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a deep understanding of commercial insurance, and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain claims data, evaluate trends, prepare summaries, and participate in claims reviews.
  • Verify coverage details and report claims to insurers.
  • Advocate for clients on claims issues and follow up on claim assignments with insurers as required.
  • Generate ACORD applications as requested.
  • Issue confirmation of coverage and other insurance documents as needed.
  • Provide counsel to clients and execute routine policy changes in collaboration with clients and insurers.
  • Secure online insurer proposals as requested.
  • Complete billing worksheets and process policy billing.
  • Follow up on the timely issuance of insurance contracts and audits.
  • Review policies, policy changes, and audits for accuracy.
  • Prepare renewal kits as required.
  • Update the operating platform with underwriting data.
  • Participate in the training of new colleagues, focusing on technical processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to assemble marketing submissions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Proficient in desktop tools, including MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Current resident state license for Property and Casualty is required.
  • CISR designation preferred, or current pursuit of a professional designation.
  • 3-5+ years of account management experience in a commercial brokerage environment, including claims data analytics, client services, application and proposal generation, and coverage need determination.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience using a Property and Casualty Brokerage CRM system.
  • Working knowledge of core Property and Casualty coverages.
  • Basic understanding of Executive Liability coverages.
  • Familiarity with premium development and rating methodology.
  • Ability to interpret contractual language related to insurance requirements.
  • Competence in reviewing and understanding financial statements.
