Job Summary:
The Commercial Account Executive is a vital, client-facing role responsible for driving new business growth and ensuring client retention. This position focuses on profitably expanding the portfolio of the Commercial lines while delivering exceptional customer care. The ideal candidate is sales-oriented, results-driven, and committed to providing extraordinary service to every client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and submit proposals for middle-market clients and prospects with premiums ranging from $50,000 to $1,000,000.
- Negotiate terms with underwriters, conduct coverage comparisons, and recommend optimal coverage solutions for clients.
- Participate in client and prospect calls as needed to support business objectives.
- Provide high-quality client service, addressing inquiries about insurance coverage options, policy provisions, discounts, pricing, and more.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to handle administrative tasks, such as certificate issuance, policy checking, endorsement requests, and ID card production.
- Master the use of the Agency Management System (EPIC) for efficient operations and client management.
- Work closely with other Account Executives, Producers, and Account Managers to consistently meet business growth and service objectives.
- Assist clients with policy changes, billing questions, claims inquiries, and other service needs.
- Manage a book of business comprising approximately 20 clients, generating $2,000,000 in premium, in collaboration with Producers.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in middle-market marketing and client servicing, with similar responsibilities as described above.
- Proven track record of meeting goals in a sales-driven environment while excelling in teamwork and collaboration.
- Dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to prospects and clients.
- Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Possession of a valid insurance license; professional designations such as ARM, CIC, or CPCU are preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in the insurance industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with prospects, clients, referral sources, and business colleagues.
- Proficiency in using agency management systems (e.g., EPIC) and other related software tools.
