Our client, a well established Insurance Agency with multiple locations across New Jersey, is seeking multiple Commercial Lines Account Managers to join their team. The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of a commercial lines book of business. The Commercial Lines Account Manager should be able to manage their assigned accounts and interact with all departments to ensure a great customer and employee experience.


The main responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

 

  • Manage and maintain a portfolio of business in alignment with the agency's renewal schedule.
  • Assist clients with coverage adjustments, providing education on coverage options, exclusions, and exposures.
  • Submit renewal applications and coverage specifications to the marketplace, negotiating directly with carriers.
  • Ensure effective communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Proactively organize the renewal process to exceed client expectations.
  • Follow internal processes, timelines, and protocols.
  • Generate proposals, issue binders and auto ID cards, handle billing, process policy changes, create policy summaries, conduct coverage reviews, and follow up on pending items.
  • Verify the accuracy of policy coverages and endorsements.
  • Expand existing client accounts by identifying new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



  • Candidates applying to this position MUST have the following:
  • 3-5 years of experience working in commercial lines insurance (required)
  • P& C License (required)
  • Must be well-organized, with excellent math, written and oral communication skills.
  • Service oriented, team player who has attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, proactive environment.
  • Critical thinking and good judgment to quickly determine and prioritize key issues
  • Strong technical skills for data entry, Word, and Excel a plus
  • Degree (highly preferred)
