Role Overview:
Seeking a physician to provide medical leadership and oversight at a plasma collection center, ensuring compliance with FDA, CLIA, and internal quality standards. The role includes serving as or delegating key CLIA functions, supervising and training staff, and maintaining high medical and operational standards. Regular on-site presence is required to review medical activities, guide staff, and manage donor suitability and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary physician for FDA reporting and ensure medical compliance with applicable regulations.

  • Perform or delegate CLIA roles and ensure CLIA/COLA training, proficiency testing, and documentation.

  • Provide medical oversight and training for Medical Staff Associates and other center staff.

  • Conduct periodic reviews of medical evaluations, meet with staff, and participate in quality assurance activities.

  • Advise on donor suitability, review incident reports and lab results, and oversee immunization programs where applicable.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • MD or DO with active state medical license.

  • Knowledge of FDA regulations, CLIA requirements, and cGMPs.

  • Experience supervising clinical staff and training Medical Staff Associates.

  • Ability to review medical incidents, interpret laboratory results, and manage donor safety.

  • CLIA Laboratory Director qualifications as outlined by regulation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in plasma center operations and hyper-immune/Anti-D programs.

  • Familiarity with infectious disease screening and donor counseling.
