A partner organization is seeking a Commercial Product Specialist III, Self-Insured in Minnetonka, MN. This role is responsible for collaborating with the Commercial Product team and internal departments on the development and deployment of new and existing Self-funded/Self-Insured (SI) and Administrative Services Only (ASO) products. The position involves product analysis, implementation activities, researching product/program challenges, and identifying trends for improvements that inform a 3-5 year roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Review and support change and customization requests related to product design.
  • Partner with Underwriting, Actuary, Legal, and Regulatory teams in the product management lifecycle.
  • Develop training materials for brokers and sales teams for product portfolios.
  • Update and maintain product grids for Self-funded/Self-Insured products.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with functional and matrix partners (Regulatory, Legal, Sales, Product, Marketing).
  • Perform activities that support product performance and growth goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 5+ years of related experience beyond the degree.
  • Knowledge of the Self-funded/Self-Insured market, claims, and benefits.
  • Understanding of the overall customer experience and the product performance lifecycle.
  • Ability to support other product segments (e.g., Fully Insured large and small groups) as needed.
  • Ability to perform tactical execution, identify areas of process improvement, and streamline processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Independent, self-driven professional.
