Job Title: Commissioning Engineer (Test Systems)Job Type: OnsiteWork Type: PermanentHours: 37hrs per weekIndustry: DefenceJob Location: WolverhamptonSalary: £50,000 to £55,000 per hour Job Role – Commissioning Engineer (Test Systems)Reporting to the Test Systems Design Manager the Commissioning Engineer lead the commissioning of complex, bespoke Test Equipment that supports the Qualification and Production Acceptance testing of high-performance flight control systems — including linear, servo-controlled, high-pressure hydraulic actuators. Duties – Commissioning Engineer (Test Systems) Lead commissioning activities to deliver Test Equipment on time, on spec, and on budgetOversee and support mechanical and electrical assembly, interfacing with Design Engineering to resolve build issuesDrive system integration and formal verification testing, ensuring all requirements are met and documentedCoordinate customer validation and correlation testing, including analysis of resultsEnsure all documentation — including verification reports and ‘as built’ drawings — is complete and releasedSupport calibration procedure development and facility readiness (hydraulic/electrical service integration)Deliver end-user training and author user and maintenance manualsPromote and uphold Health & Safety standards throughout all commissioning activitiesExperience/Qualifications – Commissioning Engineer (Test Systems)Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Aeronautical Engineering — or equivalent experienceExperience in aerospace, automotive, or other complex engineering environmentsProven experience with Test Systems or Test Equipment commissioningStrong diagnostic skills across hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systemsFamiliarity with Systems Engineering principles, especially Verification and ValidationCandidates who are currently a Engineer, Test Engineer, Validation Engineer, V&V Engineer, Validation and Verification Engineer, Development Engineer Technician, Systems Engineer, Test Rig Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, Test Development Engineer, Product Support Engineer and Test Design Manager could be suitable for this role.To make an application for this role please submit your CV to mark.davis@omegaresource.co.uk or for more information call 01453829529.For details of other opportunities available within your chose field please visit our website
