We have multiple Communications internship opportunities available. By applying to this posting, you will be considered for all internship opportunities within this area. These internships will be located in the Los Angeles area.

Your Role Accountabilities
Duties could include:
Contribute to and maintain industry grids, calendars
Track and circulate all forms of press coverage daily
Conduct research to support PR planning
Help curate press lists
Draft and copy edit press releases and pitches for department initiatives
Maintain content on press and corporate sites
Source photos for press releases and pitches from the Digital Library
Draft social copy for PR social profiles like X and Instagram
Preparing team meeting agendas, as well as participating in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
Bringing great ideas, rolling up sleeves, learning and contributing to key campaigns and company initiatives
Write, edit, curate and develop content for WBDs intranet, newsletter, internal materials and social media
Research editorial opportunities for executive leadership and generate reporter briefs.
Draft communications like executive bios, narratives, nominations, press releases, media alerts, reporter pitches and more.
Compile executive briefing documents for thought leadership opportunities and interviews.
Attend PR and corporate events as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
Essentials needed for the positions that are similar across the above roles (these do not all have to apply to every single role)
Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
Must be a rising Junior, Senior OR Graduate Student (18 years or older)
Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)
Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States.
Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, English majors preferred
General understanding of PR concepts, practices, and tools
Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with the ability to speak in various styles, tones and voices
Comfort in the Microsoft suite of applications; particularly Word and PowerPoint
Well organized and able to work independently, able to multitask and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines
Detail oriented, self-starter, hard worker
Positive attitude, flexible demeanor, and willingness to work collaboratively and/or independently, depending on the project
The Nice To Haves
Excellent written and verbal communication; working knowledge of AP style
Basic design skills a plus, Photoshop skills preferred
Familiarity with Drupal is a plus
What to know before applying:
The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks. Program date options include:
Option 1: June 3rd August 16th
Option 2: June 10th August 23rd
Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discoverys total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD for undergrad interns, $25 per hour USD for graduate level interns.
