Lifelong Communications Manager
Position Summary:
The Communications Manager is responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to promote the mission, programs, and impact of Lifelong. Manages Lifelongs website, social media, and catalog assembly. Produces weekly email newsletter, weekly calendars, attendance sheets, and classroom set up outlines. Occasional assistance with designing posters, graphics support, and annual report compilation. This is a part time (24 hours/week) hourly, non-exempt position.Hourly pay range: $19-21/hour. Benefits include generous paid time off/holidays, SIMPLE IRA and a supportive work environment.
Position Requirements:
-Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Interest in bringing your creativity to this position and expanding Lifelongs outreach
-Competence with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with Canva (preferred and used for catalog creation), Quickbooks, website management (Wordpress), and social media
-Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage time well; strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Communications Manager (PT- 24 hrs/week)
Responsible for updating Lifelong website with new/changed offerings, catalogs, special events, and general information about Lifelong
Develops and implements social media strategies to enhance Lifelongs online presence
Works closely with Program Manager, fundraising teams, and other departments to gather information and create compelling narratives
Assembles catalog 3x/year with information provided by Program Manager; utilizes Canva for catalog creation, Quickbooks for class registrations, and website to make classes live for online registration
Produces weekly email newsletter highlighting upcoming classes, events, and other pertinent information
Produces weekly calendars for Lifelong entryway; outlines classroom set up needs for upcoming week; creates attendance sheets for classes and organizes reminder calls
Occasionally assists with designing posters, other graphics support, and annual report
Assists with classroom set ups as needed for daily programs; assists with tech support (setting up projector, speakers, laptops, etc)
Organizes womens golf program (scheduling with golf courses, registration materials, help with season-end luncheon)
Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to development and events assistance
