Title: Communications Manager Location: Flatrock Motorclub – Rockwood, Tennessee About Flatrock Motorclub: Flatrock Motorclub is a premier private motorsports community where passion for speed meets an elevated lifestyle. Designed for driving enthusiasts, collectors, and competitors alike, Flatrock offers an exclusive experience centered around our 3.5‑mile Tilke‑designed racetrack—crafted to challenge and excite at every turn. Beyond the track, members enjoy first‑class amenities, a vibrant social atmosphere, and luxury real estate opportunities—including customizable garage lofts, villas, and paddock garages. Position Overview The Communications Manager plays a key role in shaping and amplifying the voice of Flatrock Motorclub. This position leads the strategy, creation, and execution of all internal and external communications, overseeing the Club’s website, mobile application, social media platforms, and printed materials. The role ensures a cohesive brand presence and delivers compelling, high‑quality messaging that connects with members, staff, and prospective members. Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field. Website content management experience is a plus. 3–5 years of experience in communications, PR, or marketing (luxury, hospitality, or lifestyle brands preferred). Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and editing skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Professional demeanor with the ability to communicate effectively with executives, members, and staff. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and content management platforms. Preferred: Experience working with private clubs, membership organizations, or high‑end brands. Preferred: Familiarity with media relations and press outreach. Preferred: Social media and email marketing experience. Basic graphic or content collaboration experience (Canva, Adobe, or similar tools). Job Knowledge, Core Competencies, and Expectations Strong command of English grammar with demonstrated proficiency in news‑style writing, feature writing, copywriting, proofreading, and editing. Working knowledge of editorial and publishing standards. Proficiency in computer graphics and design software: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Experience using Microsoft Excel and database management programs. High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Professional communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. Job Duties and Responsibilities Edit, review, and pre‑approve all written and digital communications distributed by the Club. Coordinate content and materials from department heads and contributors for the Club’s newsletter. Write, compose, edit, organize, and submit all newsletter content in a timely manner. Design and manage the layout of all printed and digital publications. Serve as the primary liaison between the Club and third‑party marketing and communications vendors. Develop and produce print materials for all areas of the Club, including new and prospective member materials, strategic planning documents, menus, and in‑house signage. Oversee the development and execution of the Club’s communications program. Maintain and enforce Club branding standards, including proper use of logos and visual identity. Manage all direct mail initiatives, including composition, design, production, and distribution. Capture, organize, and maintain photography for use in Club publications, marketing materials, and exhibits. Conduct member surveys and assist with data collection and analysis as needed. Coordinate departmental communications in collaboration with department heads. Oversee all website and mobile application pages to ensure consistency in design, functionality, and content. Create, maintain, and promote website content for members and staff. Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the Club’s event calendar. Collect, edit, and generate content for all email communications and email marketing campaigns. Develop email promotions and mailings in coordination with the Member Experience Director and other departments. Attend staff and departmental meetings as required. Monitor social media platforms and external publications for references to the Club and respond or elevate as appropriate. Develop strategies to market and increase member engagement with the Club’s website and mobile application. Provide administrative and communications support to department heads and the Membership Office, including drafting correspondence to members and non‑members. Complete special projects and additional assignments as needed. Additional Information FLSA Status: Exempt Travel: Up to 10% Emergency Staff: No Benefits Information: Health, Dental, and Vision—Employer pays 60%, Employee pays 40%. 20 Days of PTO available upon hiring. 401(k) Match of up to 4%.
