Job Description:
Under the direction of the Vice Chancellor of Educational Services & Support, the Dean in Educational Services will: provide leadership to the Equitable Student Learning, Experience, and Impact division specifically by providing administrative oversight to the assigned division staff and colleges for assigned programs including . Incumbent will provide review and analysis of legislation and reports, participate in policy development, inter-agency coordination with state and federal agencies and departments as necessary. Incumbent will participate on committees, task forces, and panels representing student services and special programs.

This position is eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on the Chancellors Offices evolving telework policy. The Chancellors Office supports telework, recognizing that in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to the headquarters office in Sacramento if an urgent need arises.

Working Conditions
Ability to use standard computer and/or office machines for an extended period of time.
Ability to supervise the work of others in a remote work environment

Desirable Qualifications
- 2+ years higher education program administration experience Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal guidance or direction.
- 2+ years administering higher education financial aid programs
- Experience embedding diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility into higher education administration or program design
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills including presentation and meeting facilitation capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
- Effective stakeholder management skills
- Ability to recognize sensitive information and consistently exercise a high degree of discretion.
- Supervisory experience
