GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Community Outreach and Engagement Coordinator will utilize engagement and relationship building practices to identify referral sources that specialize in the identified Healthy Families Target Population. This position will recruit for new participants by strengthening relationships with current referral sources and identifying and continually building relationships with new sources through, but not limited to, community presentations, social networking, community events, support groups, meet ups, etc.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide community presentations and community outreach activities.
  • Maintain professional positive relationship with hospital staff and other collaborative agencies.
  • Attend quarterly Heathy Families Community Advisory Board meeting.
  • Initiate and attend community and network meetings.
  • Analyze site recruitment data and identify and develop action plans to address.
  • Works closely with Program Director and Assessment Supervisor to provide updates on recruitment efforts and site metrics
  • Identifies new referral sources and develops formal and informal partnerships.
  • Schedules and Manages Social Media Posts and creates E-blasts and gathers program success stories.
  • Develops and continuously nurtures relationships with OBGYN/ Pediatrician clinics throughout Pima County.
  • Collects and maintains working list of active referral sources.
  • Attends monthly team meetings to present and discuss recruitment data and action plans.
  • Gains and maintains appropriate skills needed to complete FROG assessment not to exceed 2/month or at the discretion of both Program Director and Assessment Supervisor.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Experience in working with or providing services to children and families.
  • An ability to establish trusting relationships.
  • Acceptance of individual differences.
  • Experience and humility to work with the culturally diverse families.
  • Knowledge of infant and child development.
  • Willing to engage in building reflective capacity (e.g., capacity for introspection, communicating awareness of self in relation to others, recognizing value of supervision, etc.)
  • Infant mental health endorsement preferred.
  • Flexibility in scheduling (able to work nights and weekends) and time management skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and networking skills to effectively communicate with potential partner, collaborators, and partners.
  • Knowledge and skills of social media development and demonstrates computer literacy.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Meets community partners Memorandum of Agreement requirement.
  • Location: must be able to provide direct service to the designated client base in the La Paz County area.
  • Maintain a functional and safe home working space with adequate internet connection for the job.
  • Comply with all agency and program policies and procedures including confidentiality, employee conduct, computer usage and dress code.
  • Meet program/departments performance and productivity standards.
  • Attend required agency and program/department meetings.
  • Adhere to the schedule agreed upon with the supervisor.
  • Follow and model CFRs core values.
  • Participate in PQI initiatives.
  • Must be eligible and able to obtain a Level one fingerprint card.
  • Must have a valid Arizona drivers license, vehicle and meet agency liability insurance requirements.
  • Consistent with CDCs new streamlined guidance, the Safer Federal Workforce determined COVID-19 workplace safety protocols will not vary based on vaccination status or otherwise depend on vaccination information. ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Sitting for extended periods of time daily; standing and walking short distances.
  • Moderate twisting, bending, stooping and lifting up to 40 pounds in the performance of assigned duties.
  • Ability to use a variety of office equipment and machines as referenced.
  • Normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination required.
  • Repeated hand-wrist movement required.
The nature of the position involves a fast paced working environment with multitasking of many different duties and tasks. General daily priorities may change at a moments notice and the position requires quick response time and flexibility.
