Are you ready to share the joy of making music with young kids and inspire the next generation of ukulele enthusiasts? The Concord Conservatory of Music is seeking a vibrant and dedicated Ukulele and General Music Instructor to bring the magic of music-making to our Community Partner, the Boy and Girls Club of Assabet Valley in Maynard, MA. As part of our mission to make music education accessible to all, we welcome opportunities to build educational and performance experiences that create new relationships. Through these opportunities, we strive to strengthen well-being, build social bonds, and actively involve all members of our community in dynamic music-making.
Responsibilities:
  • Teaching beginning ukulele and general music to three leveled sections ages 6-11
  • Organization and execution of clear lesson planning
  • Working closely with the BGC staff to confirm each semesters group registration.

Schedule:
  • Weekly on Thursday for three 40 min sessions between 3:00-5:00 pm
  • Begins in the Spring Semester for 10 Weeks, beginning April 4 for a 10-week session, continuing again in September.
  • This position has the potential to expand to additional days in 2024
Qualifications:

An undergraduate degree in music performance or education or relevant experience in ukulele pedagogy

Experience teaching young beginners

Ability to manage a class size of 6-10 children

Adaptability and enthusiasm in a group dynamic
