Companion Aide (DSP) Apply
Seeking direct support professionals /Companion aides to work 1:1 with individuals to provide supervision, assist in community settings, and support with daily living routines. Pay $16. 00 up to 18. 00 per hour depending on experience. Positions are part-time, but opportunities can produce full-time hours working with multiple clients. Must have reliable transportation. (paid mileage ) Various hours/times available and negotiable
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining social skills and relationships
- Provide transportation to appointments, community outings, and recreational activities, attending appointments if needed, help with budgeting, money management, grocery shopping, volunteering, and participation in Special Olympics
Skills:
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a similar caregiving role
- Ability to provide emotional support and empathy to individuals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility in adapting to changing needs and schedules
