The Compensation & Benefits Specialist at Colorcon is responsible for supporting the implementation, administration and continuous improvement of the Regional Total Rewards programs; this includes marketing, communicating and the administration of programs associated with health and wellness. This role reports to the Manager – Talent & Analytics and plays a key role in optimizing our compensation & benefits strategies to support and retain our existing employees, as well as attract new talent. Responsibilities & Duties Compensation Execute annual compensation cycles (merit, market reviews, bonuses) and ensure timely coordination with global/regional HR and Finance teams. Conduct salary benchmarking, internal equity studies, and support the maintenance of pay structures; coach manager’s on how to reward our people properly. Partner with Manager – Talent & Analytics to support job evaluations and maintain job architecture based on Mercer or equivalent methodology with responsibility for completing data requests and designing compensation guidelines. Benefits Administration Implementation and maintenance of the Colorcon's benefits programs within the region. Coordinate benefits activities and support for the regional HR team with leave of absence administration, new hire benefits orientation & enrollment, annual open enrollment, and off boarding. Administer retirement & pension programs. Support all benefits audits and benefit compliance activities. Partner with EHS for any worker’s compensation claims that arise by supporting Site HR team members and liaising with third party administrator. Analytics & Communication Serve as subject matter expert for compensation and benefits programs and policies. Develop and deliver clear communication materials related to Total Rewards and policy updates. Serve as point of contact for employees for benefit questions, claim issues and plan changes. Prepare compensation & benefits analytics, dashboards, and budgeting models. Build and maintain strong relationships with compensation and benefits vendors to ensure all plans are compliant and current. Keep a continuous improvement mindset and recommend new approaches and procedures to increase the efficiency of the department and offerings for employees. Maintain policies and information on Colorcon’s Guidelines for Excellence (intranet). Organize and maintain digital employee files as it pertains to any benefits and retirement information. Perform other duties as assigned to support the Human Resources team. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human resources preferred or related field required. Minimum of five years’ experience in compensation and benefits administration required with previous retirement & pension program administration experience strongly preferred. Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification preferred. Team player who is proactive, motivated, innovative, and results oriented. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with limited supervision and under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines. Ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity. Must be able to work well with employees at all levels of the organization. Proficient with Office 365. Work Environment This role is a hybrid position based out of Colorcon’s Harleysville, PA site with up to 3 days per week required onsite. Working remotely from a home office will be facilitated when applicable and is at the manager’s discretion. Travel: up to 10% annual travel may be required.
