Position Overview

The Compliance Officer oversees administrative and compliance tasks for several programs including The Sanctuary RHY Shelter, Empower House AOBH Westchester, Empower House AOBH NYC, and Safe Harbor Community Groups (Yonkers & Children’s Center). The compliance officer serves as a liaison with Agency Records and outside contractors to ensure that all issues related to programmatic compliance are met. The Compliance Officer interfaces directly with Oversight Agencies such as OCFS, ACS, LDSS, and HHS. The Compliance Officer will also serve as the Administrative Assistant for The Division Director of Safe Harbor services. Administrative duties include filing, creating systems, and the organization in the environment, assisting in aspects of data reporting, and contributing to contract and grant submission, copying, binding, scanning, ordering supplies, etc.

Position Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree Required in related fields. 2 years relevant experience in Quality Assurance, Data Management, and Administration. Customer Service Experience preferred. Child Welfare experience preferred. Strong Analytical skills: Capability to analyze data and identify potential compliance issues. Leadership and communication skills: Effectively communicating compliance expectations and building a culture of ethical conduct within the organization. Stakeholder management: Building relationships and collaborating with various departments and senior leadership.
