Client location Foxboro, MA. Hybrid, 3 days onsite / week.

Experienced with development using lean agile methodology.
Experienced with industry standards (IEC 61508, IEEE 1012, Mil-Std, etc.).
JD:
We are seeking an electrical/component engineer who is self- motivated, creative, innovative and has a strong passion for design engineering and providing on-going support to manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for supporting current and new HW design, assisting in component selection and sustaining of Foxboro DCS and Triconex safety products, in a multi-site, cross-platform development environment. This includes providing solutions to technical issues, and ensuring the delivered solutions meet the technical specifications and design requirements. In addition, the candidate may also provide technical support to development work performed by third-party service providers or outsource partners
The responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Analyzing daily change notices of end-of-life component parts
o Replacing obsolete parts with new parts
o Aiding supply-chain and manufacturing in obtaining new and critical parts
o Preparing Engineering Change Requests, Manufacturing Change Requests or
Deviations to obtain old parts to support production
o Resolving technical problems
o Analyzing part failure; request part failure analysis reports from vendors
o Supporting design engineers in finding, selecting and documenting new components.
o Supporting design engineers in finding, selecting and replacing obsolete parts with new parts
Generating wiring diagrams to back up and analyze component selection.
o Review hardware drawings
o Writing Calculating Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and MTBF's
o Executing verification tests.
o Executing Document tests and generating CIA's (Change Impact Analysis) to explain change etc.
Understanding the hardware architecture of the products
Company interface to component/parts suppliers and test and service suppliers.
Providing support to HW development work performed by outsource partners
Coming up with innovative ideas to improve HW products and the HW development process
Working in a diverse team environment, as well as independently
