Required Skills:
-
Minimum 5 years or more of applicable experience in the analysis of structural systems using strength of materials and finite element-based methods
-
FEMAP, composite structures, hand calc exp, hypersizer, CATIA V5
-
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, with a concentration in a relevant Engineering discipline
-
Experience in aircraft or spacecraft composite fabrication, design, and analysis processes
-
Knowledge of composites manufacturing and sizing of composite structures using FEA models, including pre and post processing of NASTRAN models and associated sizing of composite structures.

Proficiency in FEMAP.
-
Experience with free-body diagrams and classical stress analysis techniques.

Hand calc exp.
-
Hypervisor exp.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Excellent computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by the ITAR (22 CFR 120.15)
Desired Skills:
-
Hands-on experience with composites part fabrication and assembly processes a plus.

Experience with the design of flight vehicles or vehicle systems to a set of requirements or standards such as CFR 14, Part 400, Part 23 and 25, military or NASA are highly desired

Pilot, aircraft homebuilding and rapid prototyping experience a strong plus.

Experience with manufacturing-based ERP systems, such as Oracle, is a plus.
